Paul has been with Ross Care for five years. He currently splits his time between the Ross Care head office in Wallasey and the newly launched Winsford service centre, which he’s been instrumental in setting up to deliver the Cheshire Community Equipment Service contract, which Ross Care was recently awarded.
Leading a team of 49 colleagues, including both workshop and field service engineers as well as administrators to provide a wheelchair approved repairer service and community equipment service, Paul’s role is varied and diverse and he takes a hands-on approach.
During Paul’s time as Operations Manager, he’s successfully supported the transition in West Cheshire from the retail model to a full ICES stores model, which has subsequently been adopted across the wider Cheshire region.
Reflecting on more recent events, Paul and his team have successfully adapted their operations to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. Whilst this has become a ‘new normal’, working practices were significantly impacted and there were changes in demand from the local services, with less simple items needed and an increase in more complex equipment.
The team were shortlisted by the NHS in the North Excellence in Supply Awards 2020, for their response to the pandemic; in addition to maintaining vital services, the team took on extra responsibilities delivering equipment into care homes to support distanced treatment by GPs in the area.
Paul was excited to join the Millbrook Healthcare Group, when they acquired Ross Care earlier this year, as he sees the opportunity it provides for further growth and to expand services.
